9/28/2024 At the newly remodeled Inn & Spa at Loretto Santa Fe NM.  Soulstice played for the wedding of Emergency room doctor Chris Loucks and his beautiful and vivacious bride Emergency room nurse Amy Armbruster. This handsome and charasmatic couple met on a medevac helicopter while saving a patient's life.  Chris & Amy joined their guests in enthusiastic celebration and dancing as Soulstice played. They were very happy and appreciative. Absolute Entertainment also provided the String Quartet for their Ceremony, and the Mariachi group for their Cocktail hour.                   

"Our son researched possible bands for his wedding at the Tamaya Hyatt, and Soulstice was his first choice. Alex and I divided up the calls to the bands on our list. The first few calls either went to an answering machine, or to a person who said someone else would get back to me. But when I called Soulstice, Vicky answered the phone.  I felt an instant rapport with Vicky. She gave me a great deal of confidence about the quality, experience and breadth of material of the band. Having Vicky as my first contact in New Mexico was a wonderful way to start this journey. We lucked out that the band was available for one of the two possible dates for the wedding, so that helped us choose. 

On the day of the wedding celebration, while I felt excited to hear the band, nothing could have prepared me for how perfect it was. From the very first second I heard them, Soulstice set the tone for an amazing spirit and energy that lasted until the party was over- including an encore which everyone in the room insisted on. The music selection was perfect, and it was exactly the range of music that Alex had asked for. Pretty much everyone in the room felt like dancing the entire time. One of my friends wrote me a beautiful note after the wedding, and she commented that it was the best energy she had ever seen on a dance floor. Another friend commented that the band was amazing and he appreciated that the volume was such that you could still carry on a conversation while everyone was dancing. 

And a special shout out to Vicky for reading the room so well. When my mom went a bit off script and decided that the Challah slicing had to be done with a microphone and in the center of the room, Vicky seemed to know exactly what was coming and how to make it happen. The horah was perfectly orchestrated.  I saw  everyone dancing with huge energy and smiles on their faces. All in all, a huge thank you to Soulstice for helping make Alex and XinXin's wedding an epic event!  Best, Janet Winter"

Soulstice played a Corporate Dinner & Dance for the National Terrazzo & Mosaic Association, held at The Cottonwoods, Hilton Tamaya Resort.  They loved it and did a lot of dancing, singing and applauding. Our thanks to everyone who made it possible.

Soulstice has played a large number of corporate gigs - at various major Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder, Hyatt Tamaya, Casa de Vidrio. We get to play a wide range of music from jazz to funk, current, country, rock & R & B, Ed Sheeran, Chain Smokers, Chris Stapleton, Camila Cabello, Al Jarreau, Earth Wind and Fire, Thelonious Monk etc. etc. Each one has been very well received, with a lot of compliments - and a lot of fun! Thanks to our clients and our very talented musicians and singers.

A fabulous Soulstice gig at La Posada for the wedding of Kelsy and Mason Abshire! The dance floor stayed packed all night from the first song to the last, the audience singing along with songs and applause - with 2 encores - the crowd shouting "One more song!" at the end. Doesn't get any better than that - our best wishes to the bride and groom.
Absolute Entertainment also booked Cielo Strings and provided sound for the Ceremony, a Bagpiper, 2 more set ups for music and wireless mic in the tent, and music for Cocktails.
